This was the camera for the shoot, the DVX 100. This is an awesome camera. In fact, I think it's better than the XL1s by far. The colors and 24p made it look so close to film. And when you light for film, gosh, it's gorgeous. And it's so much smaller than the XL1s. Plus, it's got XLR inputs! The one thing that sells the XL1s is the fact that you can change the lens. But if you never intend to change the lens, then you need the DVX 100. I had seen some footage from a DVX 100 earlier, and thought that this camera was crappy. But I later learned that that footage was shot like crap, with no lighting. But today, I was sold on the DVX 100. |
